The Tampa Tarpons and Inland Empire 66ers hooked up in a classic Round 1 that went right down to the wire.

In the end, it's Tampa heading off to the Round 2, after a 9-6 win at George M. Steinbrenner Field tonight earned the 4-3 series win.

Outside George M. Steinbrenner Field, whether they were supporters of Tampa or Inland Empire, many fans talked about how it was a series they would never forget.

Ricardo Sánchez played the hero for the Tarpons in the series, as his MVP performance included a .462 batting average, with a .500 on-base percentage. He also had 3 home runs, 8 RBI and scored 6 runs.
