Reds Rally to Win, 2-1
|
In a tight tilt between the Cincinnati Reds and the Atlanta Braves, Roy Hamilton was the deciding factor. The Cincinnati left-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Patrick Ferguson, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2062 draft, was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Martin Alli. Cincinnati, with the win, is 2-1.
The decisive blow was delivered by Jason Robinson in the bottom of the 14th when he hit a run-scoring double off fireballing 6' 9" right-hander Martin Alli to win the game for Cincinnati. The home crowd went nuts.
"Roy gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Cincinnati skipper Bill Senese.
