It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Evan Williams -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at PNC Field and paced the 6-5 RailRiders win over the Pawtucket Red Sox.

After his dynamite batting performance, the Scranton WB second baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control."

His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Evan Williams singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th, flied out in the 10th and singled in the 11th.

So far this year, Williams has no home runs and a .333 batting average.
