Angels Dump Houston, 7-4, to Win 4th in a Row
Los Angeles picked up a win at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, bumping off the Houston Astros, 7-4. Pitcher Bill Taylor was a major reason the Angels emerged victorious. Taylor picked up the win for Los Angeles, going 7.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 9-14. The first-place Angels have won 4 in a row.

Carel Krol had a big run-scoring triple for the Angels in the bottom of the first inning. With Los Angeles leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a circle change from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Nathan Dorsey and swatted a triple to left. It was his 3rd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Angels ahead, 2-0.

"Bill gave us a heck of an effort," said Los Angeles manager Dave Petz.
