With Late Score, Rangers Beat Astros
A 3-RBI performance from first baseman Benedito Greenough led the Texas Rangers to a win over the Houston Astros, 3-2. Texas reliever Alan Davis picked up the win, upping his record to 13-5. Everett Riley absorbed the loss. Heiko Ehle got the save, the 41st for him this season.

Had Greenough not come through in the top of the ninth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Greenough hit a run-scoring single. The Rangers took the lead, 3-2, and never looked back.

After the game, Texas manager Bill Richardson applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.

With the win, the Rangers sit at 81-74.
