Wet weather did not postpone the Seattle-Cleveland ballgame.

The Seattle Mariners received a sterling performance from starting pitcher Danny Rodríguez, allowing them to shoot down the Cleveland Guardians, 4-1. Riyadh Kedar was credited with the save for Seattle, his 33rd of the season.

Rodríguez, the Seattle right-hander, went 8 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits. He collected 8 strikeouts.

"Danny giving us the start that he did was huge," said Seattle manager David DaSilva.
