Phillies Make Braves 5-1 Losers
|
Philadelphia Phillies starter Graham Reed turned in a top-notch performance against the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field. The result was a win for the Phillies, 5-1. Reed, the winner, moves to 13-7. He threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 2 walks. Danny Harris recorded his 1st save for Philadelphia.
Philadelphia used the hitting of Alberto Reyes to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Phillies on top, 2-0. For the game, Reyes had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"That was a really good outing by Graham," said Philadelphia manager Mark Daniel.
The Phillies raised their record to 86-58.
