Phillies Win at Washington, 4-1
The Philadelphia Phillies downed the Washington Nationals, 4-1, at Nationals Park. Stellar pitching by Dan Estrada had a lot to do with it. The right-hander handcuffed his opponent all game. Estrada got the win, improving to 1-3. He gave up 3 hits and walked 1 over 6.2 innings. He allowed no runs. Philadelphia leads the National League Eastern Division by 2 games.

Jacob Henry delivered a big hit for Philadelphia. The catcher drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Phillies ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

Philadelphia manager Mark Daniel commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
