Rockies Win, 6-4, at Miami
|
Emmanuel Lambert was a major contributor to the 6-4 Colorado win over Miami. The Rockies first baseman went 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Loren Yule, the winning pitcher, is now 7-2. He went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 9 hits, while fanning 3 and walking 2. Tommy Wanberg finished to wrap up his 9th save.
The game turned with no one out in the top of the fourth. That's when Lambert hit a 2-run home run off Andrew John. It propelled the Rockies into the lead, 2-0.
"The key is not trying to do too much," said Lambert.
The Rockies move to 47-57 with the win, while the Marlins drop to 58-47.
