Rangers Earn 6-5 Win Versus Seattle
|
The Texas Rangers picked up a win at RFK Stadium, knocking off the Seattle Mariners, 6-5. On the mound for Texas was right-hander Kristoffer Greenstrom. He played a key role in the triumph. Heiko Ehle sewed up the save, his 6th. The Rangers raised their record to 38-61.
In the bottom of the fourth, Texas catcher Thomas Webb had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Webb stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 4-2, Texas. For the game, he was 1 for 3 with a walk.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Seattle manager David DaSilva. "But we decided not to take it."
