Dixon Now 3-0 After Subduing Reds
|
Getting an impressive start from Rick Dixon, Washington beat Cincinnati by the score of 3-1. Alonso Pérez recorded the save, making him 17 for 20. With the win, Washington pushed its record to 45-40.
Dixon, who dominated for Washington, earned the victory to move to 3-0. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 5. Cincinnati batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Dixon.
