White Sox Earn Win with Late Rally
|
The Chicago White Sox handed the Houston Astros a 6-5 defeat at Minute Maid Park. Center Fielder Fionntán Foden starred for Chicago. He went 3-6 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs. Rudy Quinn, credited with the win in relief, is now 4-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. Earning the save was Rade Jeftanovic. He's now cashed in 1 of 4 save opportunities.
Foden had a game-changing home run in the top of the 12th. On a 1-2 slider from Nathan Dorsey, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the White Sox a 6-5 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Foden.
"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Foden told the Chicago Daily News.
With the win, Chicago goes to 37-38, while the Astros fall to 40-35.
