Fans who congregated at New Orleans Stadium were treated to extra-inning drama.

The Pensacola Tiffanies wiggled past the New Orleans Swingers, 7-6, in 10 innings at New Orleans Stadium. The win was highlighted by the performance of Pensacola right fielder Ahmed Osei. Jose Ortega, 2-1, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings.

Pensacola needed the clutch hitting of Joe Waddle to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Tiffanies on top, 7-6. For the game, Waddle had 1 home run and 2 singles in 6 at-bats.

"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said Osei. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."

Pensacola is in 5th place in the Gulf Coast Semi-Pro League Florida with a record of 17-24.
