Bowden Blisters Scottsdale Monday, January 5th , 2043 It was a parade of hits for Jordan Bowden of the Tempe Juggernauts at Juggernauts Field. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Bowden finished the day with a total of 6 hits in 7 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Juggernauts to a win, 26-1. "Bowden was really good and we were really bad," groaned Lumber Kings manager Jose F. Herrera. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Jordan Bowden singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. In this current campaign Bowden is hitting at a .436 clip with 20 home runs and 50 RBIs. |
