Tropics Plugged by Warden, Biscuits, 8-0 Friday, January 8th , 2044 Tim Warden bent a little, but he didn't break against the College Station Tropics. The Arlington Biscuits pitcher hurled a 6-hit, 8-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering 4 walks and tallying 15 strikeouts. "Tim is good at getting out of jams," Biscuits manager Rob Fonseca told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you." Up to now Warden has compiled an ERA of 2.68 with a 5-2 mark over 7 starts. He has 66 strikeouts in 50.1 innings and has held opponents to a .261 batting average. |
