Angels Pitching Ravaged by Hruska Wednesday, July 16th , 2036 Pete Hruska exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Millers Ballpark. The Los Angeles N (AZL) right fielder had a field day in the 9-8 triumph over the Los Angeles A (AZL) Angels, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Hruska must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Pete Hruska singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. Presently Hruska is hitting .311 with 1 home run and 7 RBIs. He has played in 17 games and scored 7 times. |
