Hits Galore: Murphy Drills 5 Hits Thursday, August 13th , 2043 Rusty Murphy was on fire against the Chicago N (AZL) Cubs Red but it was all in vain as Murphy's Athletics Green fell, 12-10. For the game, the shortstop went 5-for-7 against Chicago N (AZL) in a fine hitting display. "I got the pitches I was looking for and I connected," he said. "Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody and some days they fall in." Rusty Murphy hit an RBI single in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 11th and doubled in the 12th. To date this year, Murphy is batting .333 with 10 home runs. |
