Huey Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Thursday, August 11th , 2039 Raul Jose Huey was at the head of a Frederick hit parade today at Harry Grove Stadium. The second baseman went to the plate 5 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Keys to a 19-7 victory over the Wilmington Blue Rocks. "I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Huey told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today." Blue Rocks skipper Lorenzo Hampton said later that the club gave up "too much plate." "Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Raul Jose Huey walked in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. So far this season Huey is hitting .266 with no home runs. |
