Round 1 Goes the Distance, Pensacola Prevails Tuesday, September 15th , 2043 It took a while, but the Pensacola Blue Wahoos finally disposed of the Biloxi Shuckers 2-1 in the series clincher at Blue Wahoos Stadium. Winning the finale gave the Blue Wahoos the series, 3-2. They will now advance to the Round 2. The Most Valuable Player Award went to Pensacola center fielder Juan Perez. He batted .381 in the series, collecting 4 RBIs and scoring 2 runs. The Pensacola Blue Wahoos will play against the Jackson Generals in the next round. Jackson won their series against the Chattanooga Lookouts 3 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
