Knights Cruise to Round 2 with Sweep Saturday, September 12th , 2043 It was a sweet sweep for the Charlotte Knights as they eased past the Rochester Red Wings to advance to the Round 2. Charlotte won the final game by a 10-7 count and the series 3-0. "We're just fortunate to get through it quickly and be able to rest up for the next series," said Steve Boch, who was named series MVP. For the series, Boch hit .583 with a .600 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Charlotte Knights don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Louisville Bats - Toledo Mud Hens series. Toledo leads the series 2 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
