Tigers End Sievers's Streak Tuesday, September 6th , 2039 The 20-game hitting streak of Dan Sievers has come to an end. The Cleveland Indians shortstop went 0-for-5 today in his team's 5-4 loss to the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park. "It's not just Dan who came up short today," Indians manager Bob Baitzel said in his postgame press conference. "This was a team loss." This season Sievers is hitting .259 with 132 hits, 12 home runs, 59 RBIs, scored 63 runs and played in 116 games. |
