Boston Beats Toronto, 5-4
|
The Boston Red Sox picked up a win at SkyDome, taking down the Toronto Blue Jays, 5-4. Starting pitcher Dan Serafini was a big reason why. Boston, at 94-50, is 11 games up in the AL East Division.
Boston shortstop Jose Reyes contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 162nd hit of the season and put the Red Sox ahead, 1-0.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Red Sox manager Andrew P.
