Megill hits 3 home runs to Fuel Astros Offense
|
The Houston Astros downed the Washington Nationals, 6-4, at Nationals Park. The Astros were led by Mike Megill. Megill slugged 3 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored three times. Jamie West earned the save, his 5th. Washington drops to 11-10.
Houston took advantage of an error in the top of the ninth inning. The game was tied, 4-4, when Josh Malkovich hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Astros in front, 5-4.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Megill.
