Thomas Helps Cleveland Cruise to 11-3 Win
|
The umbrellas came out during the Cleveland-Baltimore contest at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
The Cleveland Indians defeated the Baltimore Orioles, 11-3, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Leading the charge for Cleveland was first baseman Jeremy Thomas. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Cleveland starter Nate Simeone was credited with the win after throwing 69 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 1-1.
In the first inning, Thomas had a grand slam home run for Cleveland. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Indians on top, 5-0.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Thomas.
The Orioles fall to 7-14 and continue to sputter in the early going.
