Yankees Roll to 8-2 Win Over Twins
|
The New York Yankees knocked off the Minnesota Twins, 8-2, in American League action at Yankee Stadium. New York pitcher and Davenport, Florida, native Jose Moran had an outstanding performance. With their winning streak at 5, the Yankees have raced to a strong start this season.
New York took the lead, 6-2, on Chris Short's 7th home run of the season. The grand slam home run came off Minnesota pitcher Chris White in the bottom of the seventh.
"We came out aggressive," said Yankees manager Creig S. "We came out swinging the bats."
