Athletics Rally to Win, 7-6
|
Oakland starter Jeff Hartenstine pitched well against the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park. The left-hander led his team to a win, 7-6, in 12 innings. The second-place Athletics have won 4 consecutive games.
The result might have been different, had it not been for 25-year old right fielder Ed Brock. Brock had a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Athletics ahead, 7-6. For the game, Brock had 1 double and 1 single in 6 at-bats.
"Our team showed some resilience," said Brock.
