In a low-scoring clash between Minnesota and Cincinnati, pitcher Dan Solarski was a difference-maker. The left-hander earned praise for his performance in the 3-2 Twins win. The win was credited to Ben Hicks in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Kevin Rohrer took the loss. Minnesota is now 68-80.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for Minnesota. That's when Jon Nelson hit a run-scoring double off 23-year old left-handed pitcher Kevin Rohrer to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"I'm just trying to make sure I'm focused for each and every pitch," said Solarski.
