On Road, Nashville Drops New York, 8-4
|
The Nashville Stars defeated the New York Yankees, 8-4, at Yankee Stadium. Nashville right fielder Juan Perez had a superb performance. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The winning pitcher was Aidan Bailey. His record now stands at 3-3. The left-hander went 8 innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits for the Stars. The Yankees, now 57-88, have lost 4 in a row.
In the first inning, Perez had a 2-run home run for Nashville. It was his 33rd home run of the season and put the Stars on top, 2-0.
"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said New York manager Creig S.
