The 6-3 Chicago win over Toronto was due in large part to Liam Boulton. The Cubs center fielder went 3 for 4 with a triple and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Reliever Kevin Stankiewicz picked up the win. His record improves to 3-4. Chris Lee took the loss. After today's action, Chicago sits at 68-55, while Toronto falls to 57-66.

The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Chris Jennings came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Toronto pitcher Chris Lee, he hit a first pitch curveball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Chicago on top, 4-3.

"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Boulton told the Chicago Citizen.
