Texas Gets 8-3 Win
|
The Texas Rangers beat the Baltimore Orioles, 8-3, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The win was due in part to third baseman Jeff Nolan, who went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Manny Villagrana converted his 1st save in 1 tries. With the win, the Rangers have a record of 57-63.
Texas right fielder Jesus Estrada helped his team get ahead early. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Nolan told the Texas Times.
