Reds Suffer One-Run Loss at Milwaukee
|
The Milwaukee Brewers trumped the Cincinnati Reds, 3-2, at Miller Park. Milwaukee catcher Victor Flores was terrific. He was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Joe Kerr, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 5 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 2. His record now stands at 7-12. Getting the save was Danny Giordano, his 17th.
Flores had a key at-bat for Milwaukee in the bottom of the second. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 17th home run of the season and gave Milwaukee an early 2-0 lead.
Flores said his team "played with determination."
The Brewers saw their record improve to 60-58.
