Yankees Score 9-6 Win Against Nashville
|
Yankees shortstop Chris Short put his stamp on his team's 9-6 win over the Nashville Stars. Short was 2 for 2 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for New York in the contest. Picking up the save was Max Garfield. He's now 3 for 5 in save chances. The Yankees' win now puts them at 52-56.
Short had a key at-bat for New York early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 25th home run of the season and gave New York an early 3-0 lead.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Short.
