The Milwaukee Brewers romped over the Washington Nationals, 14-3, at Miller Park. Josh DeLong led the way. He went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Milwaukee. The 4th-place Brewers hiked their record to 48-50.

The Brewers got a lift from shortstop Steve McCormick, who in the bottom of the second stroked a 0-1 curveball to center for a 2-run single. It was his 29th hit of the season and put the Brewers ahead, 2-0.
