Cubs Deal Angels 1-0 Loss
|
The Chicago Cubs snuck past the Los Angeles Angels, 1-0, in 10 innings. Chicago pitcher Billy Fazzina, in particular, had a standout performance. Chicago reliever Steve Miles was the winner. His record is now 2-3. Tim Lindsey took the loss. Chicago has now won 6 straight.
The Cubs got a clutch hit from left fielder Chris Jennings. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Cubs.
"It was terrific getting this win," Fazzina said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
