Giants Beat Dodgers, 6-1
The San Francisco Giants went home winners at Oracle Park, thanks in large part to starter Mançio Iwamoto. Iwamoto stifled the Los Angeles Dodgers, enabling San Francisco to grab the 6-1 win. The winner was Iwamoto. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Danny Brown. The win hiked the San Francisco record to 44-40.

The Giants got a big hit from first baseman Ricky Ocegueda. Facing Los Angeles pitcher Danny Brown in the bottom of the sixth, Ocegueda pounded a 3-run home run to right-center. His 9th home run of the season put the Giants ahead, 3-0.

"Mançio did a good job of managing their lineup," said San Francisco manager Tom T.
