Stars Rally to Eke Out Win
Busch Stadium was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Nashville Stars and St. Louis Cardinals.

Despite a fine performance by center fielder C.J. Miller, the St. Louis Cardinals lost to the Nashville Stars, 7-6, in 15 innings. Miller went 1 for 4 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Kevin Hawk earned the save for Nashville, his 1st.

Nashville won the game in part because of Mike Fecher. The right fielder ripped a solo home run in the top of the 15th inning to put the Stars ahead, 7-6. For the game, Fecher had 1 double and 1 home run in 6 at-bats.

"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Fecher.

Nashville has now won 3 straight, while the Cardinals have lost 3 in a row.
