Brewers Defeat Giants, 6-5
|
The Milwaukee Brewers had to overcome a big game from San Francisco designated hitter Kevin Burnaman to leave Oracle Park with a victory. And they did, winning, 6-5, in 12 innings. Burnaman hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Bobby Patton snagged the win in relief. He goes to 3-1 on the season. Koltan Hendrixson suffered the loss. The winning continues for Milwaukee, with the latest triumph making it 8 straight.
Milwaukee used the timely hitting of Bob Tyson to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Brewers on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Tyson.
