Giants Suffer 7-4 Home Defeat
|
The Milwaukee Brewers faced a tough opponent in San Francisco pitcher Koltan Hendrixson, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Oracle Park by a final score of 7-4. Hendrixson went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Aurelien Carlucci picked up the win, lifting his record to 3-9 on the season. He struck out 4 and walked 2 in 6 innings, while yielding 2 runs. Dong-hoon Choi closed it out for his 17th save.
The result might have been different, had it not been for 25-year old center fielder Jake Redgate. Redgate had a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Brewers ahead, 3-2. For the game, Redgate had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"It feels good to get this one," Redgate told the Milwaukee Today.
The loss makes San Francisco 41-41.
