The Houston Astros weathered an outstanding game by Colorado left fielder Kevin Grimes to topple the Rockies, 10-7. Grimes was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Jamie West notched his 18th save of the season. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Astros.

The Rockies had been locked in a 4-4 tie with the Astros going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old center fielder Tim Meacham came to the plate. Meacham hit a run-scoring triple on a 2-1 fastball from Colorado hurler Johnny DeLong. It was Meacham's 2nd triple of the year.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Meacham.
