Rangers Trip Mariners, 2-1
|
The Texas Rangers went home winners at T-Mobile Park, thanks in large part to starter Kevin Case. Case stifled the Seattle Mariners, enabling Texas to grab the 2-1 win. In 7.1 innings, Case surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 4. He allowed 1 run. Mario Macias sewed up the save, his 19th.
Dan Miller, who signed a 4-year contract worth $5,700,000 on 12/25/2041, had a direct impact on the outcome. Miller contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put Texas up, 2-1.
"We found a way to get it done," Miller said.
The Rangers have an impressive 46-23 record.
