New York Open Division Cahmpionship with Win Thanks to Fletcher
The New York Mets started the Division Cahmpionship in style today, downing the visiting Cincinnati Reds at Citi Field by a score of 6-3 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Mets center fielder Trejyn Fletcher went 2 for 3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fourth when Fletcher, who finished 4th in the NL in stolen bases with 26 in 2032, hit a 3-run home run. It propelled the Mets into the lead, 6-3.

"It's true for every sport, I think, but the playoffs are so short that you've just got to get in and get hot," New York manager Rich Stichwynn told BNN after the win. "We took care of the first part and now we're just working on the second."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Citi Field in New York.
