Pivotal Game 5 Goes to Host Dodgers, 8-1
|
Game 5 was big. So was Ricky Quintana.
In leading Los Angeles to a crucial 8-1 victory over the Nashville Stars at Dodger Stadium today, the Los Angeles starter rose to the occasion, tossing 6 good innings. Quintana threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball as the Dodgers defended their home field to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 World Series.
With two out in the bottom of the sixth, Julio Navarro barreled up a fastball from Quincy McMillan. The result was a 3-run home run, putting the Dodgers in front, 7-0.
"I'm really happy I delivered," said Navarro. "The pressure is so high up there, it's indescribable. This is the World Series."
The next game is set to be played for Tuesday, October 31st , 2034 at Dave Hammertime Stadium in Nashville.
