Samms at His Best, Blanks Everett
The Tri-City Dust Devils did little to support starter Dylan Samms against the Everett AquaSox, but it turned out he didn't need the help.

The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the AquaSox, striking out 10 and surrendering 8 hits. The performance from Samms allowed Tri-City to escape with the 2-0 win despite an anemic offense.

"Nobody came to me and said 'Dylan, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Samms told BNN reporters following the win. "I'm the guy that will step up for you when you need it."

To date, Samms has collected 1 save in 8 relief appearances. He has rung up 42 strikeouts and 15 walks in 30.2 innings while registering a 4.11 ERA and a 2-3 won-lost record.
