Boehm Stymies Volcanoes
|
R.J. Boehm of the Vancouver Canadians was masterful, pitching a 7-hit shutout, 4-0, against the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes.
By going the distance, he was at the same time able to give his bullpen a rest, a fact appreciated by Vancouver manager Giovanni Diaz.
"It's nice to have someone who can do that from time to time," he said. "He had command of every ball and every pitch. Great location, too."
Boehm had 11 strikeouts and 1 walk in the outing.
