Houston Drops Another One, 6-5
|
The losses keep piling up for the Houston Astros.
Houston catcher Joe Long had a good game, even if his team did not. The Astros dropped a 6-5 decision to Los Angeles at Minute Maid Park. Long went 2-4 with 2 home runs. T.J. Dalton got the win, improving to 2-3. He held the Astros to 4 runs on 3 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 3.
Caleb Morey came through for Los Angeles when he hit a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a two-strike fastball to center field, staking his team to a 3-2 lead.
"Losing makes me cranky," said Houston manager Bubba M. "And right now not even my dog wants to be around me."
The Angels sport a record of 13-20.
