Willie Rubio kept the Greenville Drive hitters from doing much damage at Whitaker Bank Ballpark.

Greenville could only muster 3 hits and draw no walks against the right-handed Rubio, who controlled them throughout the game. Lexington won the contest, 2-0. Rubio added 5 strikeouts in his complete-game effort.

"I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Rubio told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time."

This season, Rubio has fanned 22 in 26 innings and collected a 2-0 record with a 2.77 ERA.
