Brewers Suffer 6-5 Home Loss
|
The Milwaukee Brewers could not turn a fine performance from shortstop David Mendoza into a win. Instead, the New York Yankees prevailed, 6-5. Mendoza hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The Brewers drop to 12-18, as their fitful start to the 2042 campaign continues.
New York center fielder Randy Ball produced at a critical juncture. It happened in the top of the eighth with Jordan Borrero on the mound and New York leading 4-3. Ball drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
Said New York manager Creig S: "At the end of the day, these guys have to perform between the lines, and I think they did."
