Braves Come up Short of Playoffs Wednesday, September 27th , 2028 It's now time for the Atlanta Braves to start turning their attention to what can be done to help improve the club for next season. The team was formally eliminated from playoff contention today for the 2028 season. "We knew a title was a long shot at this point, but mentally there's a big difference between a tiny chance and no chance at all," said Braves left fielder Sabin Ceballos. The Braves had a streak of 10 straight playoff appearances before this year. In the 158 years they have been a Major League Baseball franchise, they have made the playoffs 33 times. Atlanta last won the World Series in 2025. |
