Arizona Sends Melendez to Texas Monday, November 25th , 2024 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Texas Rangers have agreed to a deal that will have 24-year old minor league 1B Ivan Melendez and 17-year old minor league 3B Alejandro Sauceda heading to Texas in exchange for 29-year old C Danny Jansen. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. Over his career Jansen is batting .228 with 80 home runs and 232 RBIs. In 505 games he has delivered 351 hits, scored 222 runs, stolen 3 bases and gotten on base at a .307 clip. |
