Bautista Grabs AL Reliever of the Year Saturday, November 2nd , 2024 The Reliever of the Year goes to the American League reliever who put forward the strongest season. This season, that player was Felix Bautista of the Baltimore Orioles, who was above all his peers in 2024. "I just feel like the ball was doing what I wanted it to this year and I was in command most nights out there," he said. "Some days you don't have your best stuff, but I didn't have too many of those days this year." On the season, Bautista pitched 74.2 innings, with 112 strikeouts and an ERA of 1.57. He also had 43 saves in 67 relief appearances. Clay Holmes of the New York Yankees finished second in voting, while Matt Moore of the Los Angeles Angels finished third. |
