Alvarez AL Selection for 2024 Most Valuable Player Award Saturday, November 2nd , 2024 It's been a year of triumph for veteran Yordan Alvarez of the Houston Astros as he hit his way to the 2024 American League Most Valuable Player Award. The 27-year-old veteran compiled a .299 average and .407 on-base percentage by putting together 175 hits, 18 doubles, 1 triple, 53 home runs and 99 walks. He also scored 104 times and drove in 122 runs. Jose Ramirez of the Cleveland Guardians finished second in voting, while Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees finished third. |
